Earth Day

Earth Day at UL Lafayette was celebrated on April 23, 2009. Booths from various federal, state and local government agencies including National Wetlands Research Center, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Bayou Vermilion District, Vermilion Soil &Water Conservation District, Lafayette Consolidated Government, Bob's Tree Preservation, Department of Natural Resources, and other stakeholders were set up outdoors in front of Hamilton Hall. Earth Day is a successful catalyst for ongoing environmental education, action, and change. Through our observance of Earth Day, we hope to broaden the base of support for environmental programs, rekindle public commitment, and enroll participation from every social and business sector.
